Look up at the top of the stairs. You will see a vermilion colored gate.
This is the Nio-mon Gate where two statues(Kongo Niouzo) are enshrined.
The gate was built in the mid-Edo period (18th century). The current gate was rebuilt in 1968 and is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
After passing through this gate, you will find the main hall of Yakuo-in Temple.
The principal image (Izuna Daigongen) worshipped by Hojo Ujiteru is enshrined there.
