What is “Japan Heritage”?


Each region of Japan has its own history, with historic sites, old buildings, and traditional events passed down from generation to generation.
“Japan Heritage” is a government-designated story that tells the culture and traditions of Japan through the historical charm and characteristics of these areas.
World Heritage”, which is often compared with Japan Heritage, aims to preserve cultural heritage by assigning a value to it and inscribing it on the World Heritage List.
On the other hand, the purpose of “Japan Heritage” is to connect the historical and cultural resources scattered throughout the various regions of Japan, to utilize them as a “surface,” and to activate these regions by delivering their attractions.
