An old house that was once a sericultural farmhouse still remains near the Silk Road.
The old house has been designated as a Tangible Folk Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
The present main house was rebuilt in 1878. The main house is a typical folk dwelling architectural style that has existed in the Tama area for a long time.
You can still see the scenery seen by people who came and went on the silk road around 19C.
